Nothing wrong with them except the length. If they're too short for a 14yo then they're not really knee socks.The color of these socks is much darker than shown to the point of being almost black. I am 5'7" with 13" calves and the socks are a bit short for me. They are of good quality and thickness. Thinner to fit well in my shoes, but not too thin to have cold feet.Love-Love-Love these socks! I have so much trouble finding navy knee socks at stores so I took the chance and ordered these several weeks ago. They fit well and are great socks! I should ordered some years ago! One note - the color is a deep navy (which is fine for me).The only complaint I have is the color. They are gray. Looks like they were washed with dark colors.Good product. Mom likes them.Great Deal. They stay up and wash well. We didn't need so many but it's ok, my daughter needs them for 3 years of high school.The socks are a nice "winter" thickness. My calf is 15.5" at it's widest. I defiinitely wouldn't want the socks any smaller.Great price for the socks considering when I order from the school uniform company it is very expensive
